Corolla S with leather and navigation does not seem available to me...

On the above page about the 2009 Corolla, there is a picture of a Corolla S with leather and DVD navigation... but when I go to toyota.com and build my own, I am not given the ability to select those features. I selected the S, with automatic transmission, and "Sport Package with Additional Options". My zip code is 40160 if you want to see for yourself.

I would love to have these features... I've even been trying to gather info about the items for sale at autodvdgps.com, because I could get one of those and have my nav system for my corolla. They have systems specifically for corolla. My problem with that, however, is that I see a few RCA ports on the back of the units and not much more. I'm not sure the unit will connect to all of Corolla's 8 speakers ( w/ JBL upgrade).

If anyone has info on my above thoughts, I would love to hear what you have to say - and thank you!

The dealership would be able to get some of those options special ordered for you. Many times, certain packages / options are region based - but they can be acquired, shipped in to be port installed by the local dealership. If you try and special order a Corolla with the options you want - note that these "custom" options may take quite a bit of time - some cases, could be months before you will be able o pickup you "car".

The other option of adding in an aftermarket navi unit is possible - but I would highly suggest getting the base headunit, instead of popping extra money for the JBL unit. Like OEM installed BOSE, JBL, H/K units - they usually install inline filters/crossover networks that much be pulled out to be compatible with an aftermarket setup. Plus, you may not be compatible with many of the pre-installed amplifiers for the OEM premium audio systems. Use that extra money saved (may try and get a radio delete option, i.e. dealer will remove the radio and speakers, and give you some credit back - usually) and put it into another system of your choice.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to talk to a dealer about it. I'm waiting for the 2010 Corolla to be released. I want the most up to date car, even though the 2010 version wont be much different from the 2009. Once I can get the full options and accessories list for 2010, I'll take your post, some info about the after-market stuff I want, and the configuration to a dealer.
