Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana Recognizes Top Volunteers
Wednesday, February 27th, 2008Princeton, IN – Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana, Inc. (TMMI) recognized Team Members for their annual volunteer efforts during a Team Member Volunteer Program (TMVP) reception on Monday, Feb. 25.
A total of 175 team members logged 20,870 volunteer hours in 2007, an increase of 6,000 hours from 2006. Because of these team members’ efforts, area non-profit organizations will receive a total of $28,950 in grant money from the Team Member Volunteer Program incentive plan.
The Incentive Program is designed to recognize team members who actively volunteer in their communities. Team members can direct a donation to the non-profit organization of their choice based on hours that are logged for the year. The amounts are $100 for 25-49 hours; $150 for 50-74 hours; $200 for 75-99 hours; and $250 for 100 or more hours.
In addition to the incentive program, truly outstanding volunteers are recognized through the Volunteer of the Year program. The top four volunteers are able to direct $1,000 each to the non-profit organization of their choice. The volunteer with the greatest number of hours is named TMMI Volunteer of the Year and is able to direct $3,000 to his or her chosen non-profit organizations.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana (TMMI) began production in Princeton, Ind., in 1998. Today, TMMI employs about 4,600 team members from the Tri-State. Within the 4-million-square-foot automotive facility, team members produce the Tundra pickup truck, Sequoia sport utility vehicle and the Sienna minivan.
TMMI has donated more than $11 million since 1996 to the local community in areas of youth and education, health and human services, diversity, environment, civic and community and arts and culture.
